Arigato, often translated as “thank you”, carries a deeper sense of appreciation — a quiet awareness of value and presence. This idea is reflected in the design, which brings together form, movement, and repetition in a more fluid way.
The Arigato Arabesque collection is a series of feature wall tiles composed of three elements — two bird forms and a wave pattern. When installed together, the tiles create a more open, flowing surface that develops through placement rather than a fixed repeat.
The tiles can be produced in either white clay or raw terracotta, with colour developed from the Akashic palette. In terracotta, the surface takes on a warmer, more grounded quality with natural tonal variation.
Each tile is made by hand using natural clay and finished with lead-free glazes. The process is small-scale and considered, allowing for subtle variation and a more tactile surface.
